Congratulations to all skaters who competed at Skate Canada International 2017 in Regina, SK, October 26th to 29th. Chianto by Sheila was proud to design and produce the dresses worn by the flower retrievers during the competition. From all accounts, the event was a huge success. A big thank you to Danielle Shaw at the Saskatchewan section for the invitation to participate as a local sponsor for this event.

The dress design was selected from a set of sketches and combined elements from two separate designs with input from both the national and sectional levels of Skate Canada. The red maple leaves celebrate the Canadian Grand Prix event as well as the national organization, with the cascading green and gold leaves representing the host province of Saskatchewan.

The 12 flower retrievers came from Saskatchewan and Alberta. The girls were an absolute joy to work with making the whole experience one to be remembered. I hope each of the girls came away with memories they will cherish in the years to come.

The Grand Prix series of events has concluded and qualifying skaters will compete at the Grand Prix Final in Nagoya, Japan from December 6th to 10th.

Work on the Chianto galleries continues – however, due to some technical issues there will be a delay in getting the galleries up & running. Check back in the coming weeks for further updates – if you are looking for a gift item, feel free to contact for a listing of available items.
